a students-led national competition aimed at preparing
future generations in the field, offering a platform
for all astronomy interested students, and identifying
Switzerland's brightest talents to proudly represent the
nation on the global stage of the International Olympiad
on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA).
The upcoming 17th IOAA will be held in Vassouras, Brazil
from August 17-26, 2024,
and it will be Switzerland's
first time to participate with an official delegation.
